If you are looking for a free place to visit, look no further. We offer free entry, free hot drink and free guided tours as well as the opportunity for the kids to dress as a miner for photographs. We have a very friendly group of volunteers as well as Fred jnr waiting to welcome you to our award winning museum.
We have models of large mining equipment, photographs, posters, signage as well as documents and maps from 1925 onwards. We also have displays of nostalgic items related to the mining communities in Nottinghamshire.
We have resources available for research purposes, including back copies of the Mansfield CHAD as well as photographs and records from other local collieries. If this is of interest please contact us via email or telephone and we can arrange access.
Our volunteers will be delighted to show you around the museum as well as offer a welcome cup of tea or coffee.
